Sony’s State of Play showcase revealed upcoming titles for PS5 and PS VR2, including Astro Bot’s new adventure, Concord’s multiplayer action, and God of War Ragnarök’s PC release. Other highlights include Monster Hunter Wilds, Silent Hill 2, and Alien: Rogue Incursion.

Sony PlayStation hosted the State of Play showcase during the ongoing Days of Play celebration where it revealed upcoming titles arriving on PlayStation 5 and PS VR2. The 30-minute broadcast, brimming with new and exciting updates, also revealed launch dates for some of these titles while the rest are scheduled to arrive at a later date.

State of Play 2024: Everything Announced

Astro Bot has been announced to come back with a new, massive space adventure where players will get to explore six galaxies and over 80 levels to find Astro’s scattered crew. The game will launch on September 6, with pre-orders starting June 7.

Concord, the upcoming 5v5 character-driven, first-person multiplayer shooter, was revealed at the State of Play 2024. The first look of the game revealed showcased its gameplay, universe, and characters. A beta version of the game is set to arrive later, with a global launch scheduled for PlayStation 5 and PC on August 23, 2024.

God of War Ragnarök has been confirmed to arrive on PC on September 19, 2024. Santa Monica Studio is bringing the PS5 title to PC in partnership with Jetpack Interactive, allowing players to follow Kratos and Atreus’ journey. Pre-purchase of the game are now live with additional rewards, and all versions will include Valhalla DLC for free.

Skydance’s Behemoth is a first-person action-adventure VR game for PS VR2. Launching this Fall, it features physics-based combat, player traversal, environmental puzzles, and epic boss battles.

Path of Exile 2, a free-to-play action RPG from Grinding Gear Games, is coming to PlayStation 5 with a new couch co-op feature. Early Access will start later this year.

Monster Hunter Wilds got a new trailer at State of Play 2024, showcasing a rich, living world set for release on PS5 in 2025. Capcom also revealed information about some monsters, characters, and other details about the game.

Silent Hill 2 has been confirmed to launch on PS5 on October 8, 2024. The creators discussed new gameplay and narrative details separately in a PS Blog.

Alien: Rogue Incursion gameplay was showcased at the State of Play 2024. The new action-horror VR game from Survios will arrive on PS VR2 during Holiday 2024.

Dynasty Warriors: Origins by Omega Force features the largest battles in a Musou game, set for release on PS5 in 2025, where a new hero fights for survival in intense Three Kingdoms hack-and-slash warfare.

Until Dawn, the horror classic, has been rebuilt and enhanced for PS5 and PC. The game follows eight friends who return to an isolated lodge where two of their group vanished a year earlier.

Infinity Nikki, an open-world dress-up adventure game, is coming to PS5 with a beta test later this year.

Marvel Rivals will arrive as a closed beta test on PlayStation in July 2024.

Ballad of Antara, a free-to-play fantasy action RPG, has been announced to launch on PlayStation 5 in 2025.

Where Winds Meet is an epic Wuxia open-world action-adventure RPG, set in ancient China. It is set to release on PS5.
